Visions 6 and 7

INTRODUCTION TO THIS STUDY

The purpose of this work is to guide you in Spirit Filled interpretation of this "Selected Study". As necessary we will provide outlines, historical backgrounds, note the purpose and focus of the text, and also provide the original hebrew language definitions for the key words in the highlighted text. The English translation used is the King James (Authorized) Version, not because it is the best translation available, but because I just plain prefer it for study!

All Scripture text will be presented in normal cased lettering, and all notes within the text will be in TRUE TYPE FONT, as shown. This (I hope) will allow you to avoid confusion between God's Word and my notes. As I update this web site, I will continue to embellish the text so that anyone using NETSCAPE 3.0 or MICROSOFT 3.0 will be able to read the document easier.

If you discover obvious errors (as I am human, and do make mistakes), please let me know. Do not contact me to argue about the doctrinal differences that you may have with my teaching. I do not argue Theology with anyone, so all Legalists, cultists, and others with extremist views, please save your (and my) time. NOTE: THE EIGHT NIGHT VISIONS CAME TO ZECHARIAH AROUND 15 FEBRUARY, 519 BC.

VISION #6, THE FLYING SCROLL, 5.1-4

1.

Then I turned, (SHUWB = TO RETURN, TURN AROUND)

and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, (RAAH = SAW INTELLECTUALLY, PERCEIVED)

and behold, a flying (SO THAT ALL CAN SEE, IT FLIES UNROLLED)

roll. (MEGILLAH = ROLL, SCROLL, VOLUME OF A BOOK, ANCIENT BOOK)

2.

And he said unto me, What seest thou?  And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, (A CUBIT WAS ABOUT 18 INCHES, SO THE ROLL WAS 10 YARDS LONG)

and the breadth thereof is ten cubits. (5 YARDS.  Large enough for all to see)

3.

Then said he unto me, this is the curse (ALAH, SOLEMN STATEMENT OF TESTIMONY, CURSE FOR BREAKING THE COVENANT.  SEE DEUTERONOMY 29.14-21; ISAIAH 24.6)

that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth; for everyone that stealeth (<- THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT OF THE LAW)

shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and everyone that sweareth (SHABAC = TO SWEAR WITH AN OATH BEFORE GOD, PLEDGE ALLEGANCE TO GOD THROUGH AN OATH, USE GOD'S NAME FALSELY.  THE THIRD COMMANDMENT OF THE LAW.  SEE GEN 21.28; JUDG 16.7,13; 1 SAM 20.17)

shall be cut off (NIQQAH, PROPHETIC PERFECT = BANISHED, CUT OFF ONCE AND FOR ALL)

as on the side according to it. (THE SCROLL WAS PRINTED ON BOTH SIDES, LIKE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.  SEE EXO 32.15)

NOTE: JAMES 2.10, HE WHO BREAKS ONE COMMANDMENT, IS GUILTY OF ALL.

4.

I will bring it (THE CURSE)

forth, saith the Lord of Hosts, (TSABA = ARMIES, TROOPS OF HEAVEN)

and it shall enter (<- UBA'AH, WAW CONSECUTIVE PERFECT = WILL  ABSOLUTELY ENTER)

into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely (<- SHEQER = TO SHAM, LIE, DEFRAUD, ACT DECEITFULLY)

by My name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume (KALAH=PUT TO AN END, DESTROY, MAKE TO VANISH)

it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof, (THE PUNISHMENT OF GOD IS EFFICACIOUS.  SEE ISA 55.10-11; NU 32.23)

VISION #7, THE WOMAN IN THE BASKET, 5.5-11

5.

Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, lift up (NASA= RAISE)

now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.

6.

And I said, What is it?  And he said, this is an ephah (A MEASURE FOR GRAIN)

that goeth forth.  He said moreover, this is their resemblance through all the earth. (THE EPHAH REPRESENTS THE PEOPLE'S INIQUITY OR CROOKEDNESS THAT IS THROUGH THE WHOLE LAND)

7.

And behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: (THIS WAS THE COVER OF THE BASKET)

and this is a woman (SYMBOLIZED WICKEDNESS.  SEE REV 17.3-5)

that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. (EPHAH = A MEASURE FOR GRAIN, A BASKET OF GRAIN)

8.

And he said unto me, this is wickedness. (RISH'AH = MORAL WRONG, FAULT, WICKEDNESS)

And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead (TO TRAP HER IN THE BASKET)

upon the mouth (PEH = MOUTH OR OPENING)

thereof.

9.

Then lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold, there came out two women, (AGENTS OF GOD, ANGELS)

and the wind (RUWACH = SPIRIT, WIND, BREATH.  THE WIND IS ALSO AN AGENT OF GOD.  SEE PSA 104.3-4)

was in their wings, for they had wings like the wings of a stork; (DENOTES ABILITY TO CARRY THE BASKET FOR A LONG DISTANCE WITHOUT TIRING)

and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. (SHAMAYIM = THE SKY, THE HEAVENS)

10.

 The said I to the angel that talked with me, whither do these bear the ephah?

11.

And he said unto me, to build it an house in the land of Shinar; (BABYLON. SEE GEN 10.10; 11.2; 14.1,9. REFERS ULTIMATELY TO HELL,  THE LAKE OF FIRE)

and it  shall be established, (KUWN = SET FIRM, ESTABLISHED, SURE, CERTAIN, READY)

and set there upon her own base.
