Jesus Saves Sinners: Red Letters Series #21

This is the way of salvation. Jesus tells you “follow Me”. Some of you have heard the Lord’s call and yet have never followed Him. You have let how others think of you control whether you go forward or not. You are prideful. You may not have a table filled with gold coins, but you have a table filled with pride. You cannot be half saved. You either surrender to Christ, or you don’t. Continue reading

The 9-1-1 Psalm (Psalm 91)

As Sherry and I were coming home today from the Church house we saw an ambulance and two police cruisers at a neighbor’s home. Though I don’t know the details I know that someone was hurt, and someone dialed 9-1-1. When we dial 9-1-1 those who we call “First Responders” come to us to help us. Sometimes we need the Police, and other times the Fire Department or an ambulance. Thank God for our 9-1-1 operators and those responders who come to help us in need. Continue reading

Narrow Gate Of Salvation (Red Letters Series #16)

Some have said that God Himself is the obstacle to the narrow way. Some believers (and they are believers in Christ) feel that Christ only came for a select group called “The Elect”. Those who feel this reach that conclusion, I believe, honestly, though I cannot agree with them. I believe that Jesus Christ came and gave His life for ALL, not just a select group…. New Or Old Creatures?

You were saved by faith in Christ to live in God’s Kingdom, both NOW and into ETERNITY. Live as if you are His. Put away the old darkness that you used to live in, and live as light in the power of God. Continue reading

Their Works Do Follow Them (Part 1)

What is a “saint”? The Roman Catholic Church defines a “saint” as “someone who has led a life of heroic virtue”. In Catholicism it is the Pope who proclaims someone to be a “Saint”. Once someone is named a “Saint” by the Pope “public devotion to the saint, called a ‘cultus’, is authorized for Catholics throughout the world”. But is this what the Bible teaches? Continue reading

Do You Understand Christmas?

I wish every Christian a Merry Christmas. But if you are not one of Christ’s redeemed, I wish you a scary Christmas. I pray the conviction of God afflict you until you can say with confident peace, “I am Christ’s and Christ is mine!” Continue reading

Salvation Not A Counterfeit

I was reading an article by Dr. Russell Moore the other day called Does Jeremiah 29:11 Apply To You? I’m sure you’ve heard Jeremiah 29:11, or seen it on a sign or a get well card. The verse is very rarely quoted in the King James Version. Continue reading

Remember!

The last time we came together as God’s Church we talked about when we were “dead in trespasses and in sins” Ephesians 2:18-19 For through {Jesus} we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;(Ephesians 2:1). We learned that we were separated from God because of the sin nature that ruled us. But God reached out. He is Continue reading

Crucified With Christ

On a remote field in Lithuania there is a hill called Kryžių Kalnas (pronounced cry-zoo kale ness), which literally means The Hill of Crosses. For over two centuries Christians have brought literally thousands of metal or wooden crosses and placed them on this hill. It’s an impressive site. National Geographic© stated that “some think the crosses {were} left by mourning relatives of the victims of revolts against the Russian regime … Continue reading

Precious: A Homegoing Message For My Sister In Christ Ruby Aslinger

Ruby was precious to me. When I first met Ruby it was clear to me that she was having trouble hearing. She got close to me and spoke loudly. As I spoke to her it was clear she couldn’t hear me, so I leaned forward and she hugged me. After that time when we talked I would get very close to her, put my face against her, and speak slowly. When I prayed for her, that’s how I did it. Continue reading
