Recently ex-President and Monica Lewinsky adulterer Bill Clinton said in a speech that “Trump knows how to get angry white men to vote for him”, and that this was a major reason that Donald Trump will be our next President. Is that truth?
On Election Day everyone was confident that Clinton was going to win the Presidency in a landslide. I went to bed on Election Night, and woke up surprised. Clinton lost. Trump won. You can split hairs, but Trump won according to the rules, the CONSTITUTIONAL Rules. You remember that paperwork that our Founding Fathers – a bunch of Angry White Men – wrote. That CONSTITUTION that gives us unprecedented freedom, freedoms the rest of the world wishes it had? That UNPARALLELED CONSTITUTION that makes America a place where people want to cross the Rio Grande, sneaking in if they can’t get in any other way? That’s the CONSTITUTION that gives everyone freedom:
Freedom to burn or honor the United States Flag
Freedom to report the news fairly or as a twisted lie
Freedom to vote for Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Socialist, or Polka Dot Bear
Freedom to riot, march, and act like a 6 year olds
Freedom to act idiotic or with dignity
Freedom to argue over bathrooms
Freedom to pervert or exalt yourselves sexually
It was Constitutional freedom that allowed the losing side to cry out “Who do we blame?” Let’s blame Comey. Let’s blame Russia. Let’s blame someone. Let’s blame …. I know …. let’s blame “Angry White Men”. Let’s not blame shady behavior from the losing side, either from the media or from the candidate herself. It was “Angry White Men” – a patently racist statement if I’ve ever heard one – that destroyed this country by letting Trump into office. “What do we do now?” the losing side cried because the CONSTITUTION allowed it.
“I know. Let’s go against the Constitution. Let’s get washed up actors and angry weird malcontents to demand that the Electoral College turn liar and thief. We can’t win honestly, so we’ll win dishonestly”
So they protested, shouted, cried, whined, and acted like 6 year old children denied a toy at Walmart. The Electoral College met and – believe it or not – Trump lost 2 electoral votes, while Clinton lost 5. Let me say that again. Trump lost 2, Clinton 5.
Those darn Angry White Men won again!
What a racist and insensitive term! There’s nothing wrong with being “angry”, as the ones throwing the charge are obviously angry. There’s nothing wrong with being “white”, no more than there is in being any other color. God gave us our color. And there’s certainly nothing wrong with being “men”. God made us men. Men should stand up for what they believe in. If we had more men rather than game playing boys in America today we’d be in much better shape as a nation.
Listen my friends, I didn’t care for any of the candidates that ran for office this year. I did vote my conscience, and no, it’s none of your business. I am an Independent voter and I do vote every single election. I didn’t like it when President Obama won a second term to office. I didn’t like it when he and other confused people pushed a European half model of health care on our nation. Poor people cannot afford 200-300 dollars a month for Healthcare, and – just as I feared – Healthcare rates did not stay the same but rose 70% or more for most people. Even with the media twisting the truth few can say the last eight years have been Camelot.
I can’t say I was enamored with Bill Clinton, George Bush, or G.W. Bush. Under their watch they sponsored sad programs like NAFTA which led to lost industry in our nation. They also were responsible for downsizing and starving our military. I know, because I am a retired Airman. I served through a Carter presidency, a Peanut Farmer who should have stayed in the field, a nightmare for the military. Will Trump be better? I hope so. I pray so. But let’s put this real clear:
I sucked it up and tolerated being on the losing side many times over the past 40 years. Regardless as to who won I prayed for and supported that President and my nation. Jesus said it best when He said:
Mark 3:25 …. if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Abraham Lincoln on June 16, 1858, at what was then the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield accepted the Illinois Republican Party’s nomination as that state’s United States senator. In his acceptance speech Lincoln (who would later become our 16th President) quoted Christ, then tied what Jesus said into our United States:
“A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing or all the other. Either the opponents of slavery will arrest the further spread of it, and place it where the public mind shall rest in the belief that it is in the course of ultimate extinction; or its advocates will push it forward, till it shall become lawful in all the States, old as well as new — North as well as South.”
Those who continue to fight once the fight is over are guilty of treason and confusion. It is time for those who lost to put on their big boy and big girl pants. Get up. Grow up. Look up. It is time to support and pray for our Constitutionally elected leaders, and praise God that we live in such a free country. I’ve been where our Constitution wasn’t. Take my word for it – you don’t want to go there!
