today, I’ll make You a cake
so my family and I . . .

The candles will be Your light,
the frosting will spread Your love
and the filling, will be a mixture
of every good gift, from above.

I’m going to give You a present,
to show my heartfelt, gratitude
by having everyday for You . . .
a thankful, pleasing attitude.

I’ll wrap it in Your grace,
tie it with ribbons of Your peace
with the promise everyday . . .
my praise for You, will not cease

We will sing songs to You,
to show our heartfelt adoration
with verses to include the reason
You’re, the joy unto salvation!
