What Is My Purpose?
Several years ago my wife and I had just finished eating at a Tennessee restaurant. At this restaurant the waitress brought you the bill, and you carried the bill up to the register to pay. As I stood in line at the register I noticed a sign on the wall behind the cashier. Continue reading
Hear O Christian
Photo by Alireza Attari on Unsplash I normally have us focus on a Scripture text by standing, and we’ll do this in a moment. But first let us review some truths that we all ought to know by now. This morning we studied … Continue reading
Hear, O America
I am not the same person I was when I was born. I am not the same person I was when I was a child. I am not the same person I was when I was in the military. I am not the same person I was when I first came to this beloved Church over six years ago. I change. You change. But God is unchanging. Our God is the One Who gives good and perfect gifts, Continue reading

The Deceptive Danger Of Sin
In America today we are no longer troubled by sin. With the advent of television and the increasing popularity of Hollywood, morality has relaxed to the point where the word “Sin” is but a public joke. Sin, however is not a joke. God tells us that sin kills. Continue reading
Unblended Faith
When God saved Israel, He wanted those He saved to worship only Him. When God saves a Christian He demands that those whom He has saved worship only Him. Continue reading
Forty Years
Last Wednesday we were with Moses as he recounted Israel’s failure of faith at the Jordan. The first generation of Israel has passed into eternity over the last 40 years. Their children are now adults. Continue reading

Nobody’s Perfekt But God
We as believers work together with the indwelling Spirit to become more like Christ. We do this by imitating Christ is prayer, in Biblical study, and in doing good in a relatively bad world. Continue reading

The Judgement Is God’s
Last Wednesday we started studying through the Book of Deuteronomy. The name “Deuteronomy” does not come from the Book itself (such as 1 & 2 Peter were written by Peter the Apostle) but from what it is. Deuteronomy means “second law”. The first giving of the Law to God’s Israel was when they left Egypt, and God wrote Exodus through Moses. Continue reading
Eleven Days From Destiny
God’s people are people of purpose. God never saves a person then ignores that person, or allows that person to ignore Him.
God not only saves His people from – but He saves them to.
God saves His people from condemnation, from death, from slavery, from Satan, from defeat and despair, and from hellfire. God also saves His people to glorify Him, to tell others about Him, to win the land for Him, and most importantly to be like Him. Continue reading
Be An Asher Christian
Moses was in a dark spot. He was soon to die. But before Moses went to be with the Lord (which is a far greater Promised Land than Canaan) he wanted to leave advice and blessing on each of the tribes of Israel. He wanted Israel to remember that God loved them. Continue reading
