God Is Faithful

Only God has the right to define good and evil. Didn’t Jesus say “there is none good but one, that is, God” (Matthew 19:17; Mark 10:18). God knows what is best. God is faithful. The serpent came to Adam and Eve with a simple falsehood. The serpent said “God is NOT good, but man is good”. The serpent told Adam what he tells us today:

“Taking what God forbade is not going to kill you. God is NOT faithful, nor is He good. He is trying to hold you down, to keep you from becoming a god yourself.” (paraphrase of Genesis 3:4-5)

God is NOT good. God does NOT know best. When humanity bought into this apparent lie, all of creation fell fell under the weight of sin. Human history began with us telling God “We know what is best.
