Why Did Jesus Weep?

Martha dodges the question. Jesus asked her if she thought He had control over life, that He is THE RESURRECTION, that Jesus can defeat death. But instead of saying “Yes, You ARE the RESURRECTION. You can raise Lazarus from the grave. Continue reading

The King Is Coming

It is amazing to me that the Lord of Glory (1 Corinthians 2:8) grew up in a tiny, unknown place called Nazareth. He was unknown as Messiah as He grew from Christ Child to Adult Christ. Continue reading

How To Be Light In The Midst Of Darkness

Hanging loosely around your lower legs the robe could become a tripping hazard if you tried to run or go into battle. So before getting serious in battle you attended your robe. You would pull the robe UP toward your belt so that the robe hung about mid thigh. This was called “girding up the loins” (see 2 Kings 4:29; 9:1). Continue reading

the Apostle says “It is God that worketh IN YOU”. If God is IN you, then your salvation will show. You will do what JESUS says. You will actually DO what JESUS said. Yes, you will DO what Jesus said. You will not just SAY you will do it, you will DO it. Continue reading

Citizens Of Which Kingdom?

Last week we spoke of Babylon as the false religious system that the world chases after. In this week’s message we see Babylon as mammon, money and power. Babylon will fall because Babylon is evil. Continue reading

Are You Blind?

I was reading a commentary today where the writer began to teach that there are two levels of Christians – the Christian who just believes and is saved, and the Christian who is saved by faith and does the things that God commands. I don’t know where this nonsense came from. I suspect it is an aberration created by liberal preachers who are looking for numbers. It is not taught in Scripture. And it is not natural. Continue reading

Standing Up For The Word Of God

The Bible is not an add on for our Church. It is not incidental to the service. We sing songs that are Bible based. Men are appointed to read Scripture as God places it on their hearts, then to lead the Church in prayer. Continue reading
