Take Jesus’ Yoke Or Become Satan’s Joke! (Red Letters Series #27)
This past week events in Minneapolis took our minds – albeit temporarily – off of the Coronavirus. A handcuffed black man named George Floyd was killed while in police custody. As several bystanders recorded the incident on their phones, a police officer knelt down on the neck of a handcuffed man. As Mr. Floyd cried out that he couldn’t breath the officers – I’m told there were four – joked about it. As I watched the video the officer kneeling on Mr. Floyd’s neck was totally unconcerned that he was being videoed, and no where was there any compassion shown. I would not… Continue reading

Is It True?
God created man and woman to worship Him. We were not created so that God could serve us. We were created so that we can serve God. This is why we were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27; 9:6). Were were made in His image – but we were NOT made gods. There is but one God (Malachi 2:10; Mark 12:32; Romans 3:30). This God made us. He is not the God of our imaginations, but the God of the Holy Bible, the Scripture written by his hand. “Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit of God” (2 Peter 1:21). We were made to worship God…. Continue reading
Faith Changes Things
If you were to read this Epistle and not know that Peter was a fisherman then you would think that this was written by someone with a great deal of education. You would expect this person to have an alphabet of letters following his name. Peter had no seminary training, but he was surrendered to God in all that he did. Continue reading
At Home In Christ’s Word
Some people say “My sin has trapped me, so I will focus on my sin.” That doesn’t work. That’s like going on a diet and studying a Pizza Hut menu so you’ll know what to avoid. It’s counterproductive. Repent of your sin, but make yourself at home in Christ’s Word. Continue reading

Jesus Loves Me
One of Jesus’ greatest sermons was one He preached from Capernaum. The sermon was not just great because Jesus preached it (and everything Jesus preached was great), but it was great because of the wonderful illustration Jesus gave the crowd the day before. Continue reading
An Unexpected Famine
Sermon Notes: Amos 8:11-12 (KJV) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: [12] And they … Continue reading
Nail In A Sure Place
Isaiah 22:23-25 (KJV) And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house. [24] And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring … Continue reading

Let Love Reign
Audio of Sermon: Sermon Notes: 1 Corinthians 8:1-13 (KJV) Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. [2] And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet … Continue reading

It Shall Be Well
Audio of Sermon: Sermon Notes: Isaiah 3:10-11 (KJV) Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. [11] Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward … Continue reading
The Word Of The Cross
1 Corinthians 1:17-24 (KJV) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to PREACH the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the PREACHing of the cross is … Continue reading
